#1 Desktop DAM is the most easiest to use and manage. This type is ideal for a small to medium size businesses which can work with a low security sharing of files. The main disadvantage of this type however, is that the desktop DAM will only show references to the existing files and not the files themselves. This could be a major disadvantage for some organizations.

#2 Other types of DAM are, collaborative focused solutions, process oriented solutions, industry focused solutions, and merchant focused solution and so on. Each of the DAM will be able to give you the right combination of solutions for your optimal digital asset management.
